What is the “Dori Flagpole”? If you’re familiar with a Dori Pole®, it’s very similar and utilizes the same high quality fiberglass telescoping pole but is configured for a standard 3’ by 5’ (or smaller) flag and does not have the “Swiveling Yoke” for a long pennant like the original Dori Pole. The attaching hardware consists of Flag Rings instead of the Yoke.
The Dori Flagpole comes with two aluminum Flag Rings, one for each flag grommet. The top Ring is already tightened onto the fiberglass flagpole. The bottom Ring will need to be slid down to the bottom flag grommet.
Here’s the procedure for installation:
Put the “carabiner” flag clips onto the flag grommets. Attach the top carabiner (and top of flag) onto the top aluminum Flag Ring. Slide the bottom Flag Ring down the pole to meet the bottom flag grommet, so that the flag edge is taut. Tighten the set screw on the bottom Flag Ring with the Allen Wrench.
Note: Keep the Allen Wrenches in the event that one of the Flag Rings loosens (not likely if initially tight) and also because it may assist in removing or changing the flag.
The 3-piece, telescoping Dori Flagpole uses the same three fiberglass pole sections as our 19’ Dori Pole Pennant Pole. The top pole section is the only difference. The Dori Flagpole is equipped with the Flag Rings and the Dori Pole Pennant Pole has the “Swiveling Yoke” on the top section. If you wish to interchange the top sections, you can purchase a top Dori Pole section to make the Flagpole into a Dori Pole or purchase a Dori Flagpole top section to make the Dori Pole into a Dori Flagpole
Dori Flagpole works with all Dori Pole Mounting Kits so can be used all around your property with the Ground Stake , Wheel Mount and Dock Mount kits, as well as on your Pontoon Boat with the Pontoon Mount Kit
The Dock Mount Kit
The Dock Mount Kit is all you need to mount your Dori Flagpole to a dock or similar surface. This is a complete kit that includes 24″ aluminum, 2″ O.D, pipe, heavy-duty mounting bracket with stainless steel bolts and brass lock nuts, and Dock Pole Bushing.
This convenient attachment method ships complete. The horizontal attaching bolts supplied are sized for standard aluminum dock stringers. If you are attaching this to “2X” wood stringers you will need to purchase two 3.5″ long x 5/16″ stainless steel bolts from your hardware store (The supplied washers and nuts are sized for 5/16″ bolts).
The Dori Flagpole Pontoon Mount
Designed to fit Pontoon Boats that have open top rails on sides and/or in front. This bracket is not designed to fit pontoon boats with full side panels. Easy installation for interior side mounting or onto front deck railing inside or outside.
It is also recommended to remove the Dori Flagpole when passing under objects such as: bridges, low hanging trees, or overhead cables. Only tools needed are a power drill, 1/8” drill bit and a Phillips screwdriver. An Allen wrench is included with the Rail Clamp.
The Dock Pole Bushing
If your dock has the typical 2” (outside diameter) aluminum dock post, the black Dock Pole Bushing is an easy way to buffer the fiberglass Dori Flagpole from wearing on the aluminum post. It fits snugly into the top of the post. Remember, place a horizontal stop, such as a bolt through your dock post at about 18” from the top to avoid the Dori Flagpole from going too far into the post (and water) and losing valuable height. The inside diameter of the standard post is about 1.80”.
The Dori Flagpole Ground Stake
Ground Stakes are considered “temporary” mounting simply because repositioning may be necessary occasionally due to prevailing winds allowing the stake to eventually tilt a bit in soft soil and sand and may require re-staking at a nearby location.
The Dori Flagpole Ground Sleeve
Designed for permanent, concrete-set installations, for the 13.5, 19’ and 22’ Dori Flagpoles, the Ground sleeve includes a 2” PVC pipe especially configured for encasing in concrete. The holes should be 8” to 10” in diameter and deep enough for the Ground Sleeve to protrude about ½” above the ground surface.
The Wheel Stand
Easy to transport and set up, the Wheel Stand displays the 19′ three-piece Dori Flagpole next to your vehicle. Folks will spot you from afar at crowded events. The Dori Flagpole is a great way to display your country or other flag for special occasions.
